Set out for the Christmas Pud 5 this morning at 730am, bottled out before the M23. The car was gliding over sections of road, and it was -7c towards Creepy. A lot of twats out on the road who appeared not to notice the ice. So I went to Sainsburys to shop, and it was deserted-result!
By the time I got home at about 830 it was blizzarding and about 5-7cm fell in a couple of hours. Stopped after that, but it makes for hard running even in trail shoes, not as cold as yesterday, feels like about -2c at the moment, and the snow is too soft to grip well.
And to my delight (it is one of my favourite races) the Pud was cancelled and rescheduled on the 28th, in that hideous long dark space between xmas and New Year.
