Long run at last

Forced myself out of the door, it is mild, damp and very blusterous. However as you can see from the photos, spring is considering a measured advance. The first one is probably Fritillaria, the second a mixed assortment and the third are Gillian’s Galanthus.

Sussex is very sodden, the hammerpond by the main road is full and flowing out as fast as it can. Feels like a day to stay inside, though at some point this weekend I need to visit the botrytis factory and have a tidy up. But still, 8 miles out of the way, and once I had done a mile or so it was enjoyable.
