A moorhen

Regent’s Park, this morning. Among the utter chaos of the ducks, herons, coots, geese, pigeons and people; the moorhens are quiet and undemonstrative. If you have spent time with moorhens in a quieter environment, you will know these are not two of their main character traits. But when in competition with their bigger louder cousins the coots they can appear a little reserved.

They are also very difficult to take pictures of, unless you are the Moorhen Photographer in Chief. Mainly because they are always on the move, and rather suspicious of social media.

A double commute today was ok but a bit wearisome.
